OUR STORY

Welcome to House of Newariya

House of Newariya exists for a simple reason: Indian clothing deserves a place in everyday life, not just in the wardrobe kept for special occasions. We design kurtis and easy separates that carry the colour and rhythm of Indian dressing, made to move with a woman through her actual week — not just her calendar of events.

Every piece starts with a feeling before it becomes a print or a silhouette — the ease of a Sunday morning, the pace of a work day, the warmth of sitting down with people you love. We shape that feeling into clothing that's easy to wear, considered in its detail, and unmistakably Indian in spirit.

This isn't clothing that asks you to dress up for it. It asks to be worn — often, easily, and entirely on your terms.

Designed with Intention

Every silhouette starts on the body, not on paper. We spend as much time on how a kurta sits at the shoulder or moves at the hem as we do on the print that carries it — the two have to work together for a piece to actually get worn.

Indian at Heart

Our colour stories and prints draw from Indian textiles and everyday visual life — a spice market's palette, the rhythm of a block print, the depth of a monsoon sky — kept clear rather than dressed up further.

Comfort Meets Style

A kurta should hold its shape through a long day without holding you back. We choose fabrics and cuts that move easily and still look considered, so comfort never comes at the cost of looking put together.

Effortlessly Versatile

The same kurta that takes you through a work call can carry you into dinner with friends, styled differently each time. We design for how a day actually unfolds, not for a single version of it.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Style should feel effortless.

The best outfit is the one you don't have to think twice about. We design for that ease, in fit, fabric and everyday practicality.

Indian fashion can be contemporary.

Colour, print and silhouette rooted in Indian dressing don't need to feel dated or occasion-only. They can sit comfortably in a modern wardrobe.

Comfort is part of good design.

A beautiful piece that's uncomfortable to wear isn't finished. Fit and fabric get as much attention as print and colour.
